In the latest Astra version 4.4.0, we’ve listened to your feedback and improved how you handle featured images. Before, it was a simple on/off toggle switch. But, now, you get more options to control how your single post banner layouts look.
This guide will walk you through exploring Astra’s exciting new features for featured images.
How to Access Featured Image Options for Banner Layouts
Before we get started, ensure you have both the Astra theme and the Astra Pro Addon installed on your WordPress website.
Then only you can unlock a range of customizations to enhance the appearance of your featured images in the blog posts.

Now, let’s walk through the simple process of trying out banner featured image customization.
You can navigate to Customizer > Blog > Single Post > Post Title. There, you’ll find all new options under the Feaured Image sortable section. Enable the Feature Image option to further customize the image position, image width, image ratio, and image size.
Similarly, you will get all these options for all your Custom Post Types single layouts.
You can set the image ratios like “Original,” “Predefined,” and “Custom” to make it your own.
- Original: Maintain the image’s natural aspect ratio.
- Predefined (with pre-provided ratios): You can select from a list of predefined ratios.
- Custom: You can personalize the ratio according to your preferences.
- Image Size: You can take charge of the size, ensuring it fits seamlessly with your design.
